In the 8th minute, Cristian Enache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sever Mocanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cristian Enache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sever Mocanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Basarab Grozăvescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Marmatia-Sighet MM getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Iustinian Geantă hit a great ball. If Liviu Baran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristide Buhoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Sever Mocanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Baran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liviu Baran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sever Mocanu having to make a save. Sever Mocanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Enache, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cristian Enache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Marmatia-Sighet MM's Petruț Griguță dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Liviu Baran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Mocanu having to interfere. Marmatia-Sighet MM's Sever Mocanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Enache in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Tudor Papadima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Liviu Boieraș skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basarab Grozăvescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Basarab Grozăvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Boieraș having to interfere. The supporters of Marmatia-Sighet MM booed when Cirnesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Berechet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liviu Boieraș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Grozăvescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Liviu Boieraș came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Marmatia-Sighet MM's Basarab Grozăvescu. But to his dismay, Basarab Grozăvescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basarab Grozăvescu in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Liviu Boieraș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 78 minutes, Basarab Grozăvescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marmatia-Sighet MM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Grozăvescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Basarab Grozăvescu came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Marmatia-Sighet MM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Grozăvescu couldn't finish the play. Aristide Buhoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Boieraș having to interfere. Petruț Griguță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sever Mocanu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aristide Berechet. When Basarab Grozăvescu came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Marmatia-Sighet MM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Grozăvescu couldn't finish the play. Cirnesti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
