Basarab Grozăvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Mardarie having to interfere. Vali Stoicescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Sever Mocanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Iurie Chihaia in the 13th minute really tested Laurențiu Mardarie's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 15 minutes into the match, NightOwls's goalkeeper Laurențiu Mardarie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basarab Grozăvescu. Basarab Grozăvescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Laurențiu Mardarie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Laurențiu Mardarie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Grozăvescu in the 21st minute of the match. Petruț Griguță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Mardarie having to interfere. Basarab Grozăvescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes of play, NightOwls's Ovidiu Apetroaiei made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sever Mocanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ovidiu Apetroaiei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in NightOwls's zone, Basarab Grozăvescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Mardarie came out of the goal and Basarab Grozăvescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vali Stoicescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Mocanu having to interfere. Marmatia-Sighet MM's Petruț Griguță got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tudor Papadima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Laurențiu Mardarie. NightOwls's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Basarab Grozăvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Mardarie having to interfere. Ovidiu Apetroaiei might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sever Mocanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidiu Apetroaiei ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Stoicescu in the 48th minute of play forced Marmatia-Sighet MM's goalkeeper Sever Mocanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half NightOwls were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ovidiu Apetroaiei was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Corneliu Boieru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NightOwls and the Marmatia-Sighet MM players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to NightOwls getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Corneliu Boieru hit a great ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Basarab Grozăvescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NightOwls's Laurențiu Mardarie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basarab Grozăvescu in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laurențiu Mardarie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Răzvan Maiorescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basarab Grozăvescu in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurențiu Mardarie saved NightOwls from getting behind. Ovidiu Apetroaiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes Marmatia-Sighet MM got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Grozăvescu. After a rather tough play, NightOwls's Costin Hârtopanu got a free kick in the 70th minute. Laurențiu Mardarie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Grozăvescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Marmatia-Sighet MM's goalkeeper Sever Mocanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vali Stoicescu. In the 79th minute Ovidiu Apetroaiei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Mocanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Rogozanu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Petruț Griguță's late challenge caught a NightOwls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petruț Griguță helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Petruț Griguță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidiu Apetroaiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basarab Grozăvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Mardarie having to interfere. NightOwls's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
