Marcel Ciolac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eric Beșleaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Ciolac got free with Otso Kuivaharju in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Penaru in the 21st minute of play forced Joita UFC's goalkeeper Octavian Armeanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Joita UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Penaru came free, but Octavian Armeanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Bondrea charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Måns Sandell stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Octavian Armeanca. 1-3. In the 35th minute, Cosmin Penaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Steaua Buceresti Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Eric Beșleaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otso Kuivaharju having to interfere. Joita UFC's Octavian Armeanca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Lucian in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Steaua Buceresti Fc's Cosmin Penaru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Armeanca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Martin Mareș hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match.
