The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Miorica's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Vrabie came free, but Octav Cozac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CVUCS POLI's Costică Frânculescu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Miorica's goalkeeper Octav Cozac, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Dumitru Vrabie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Octav Cozac when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Şerb during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Miorica getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alex Şerb hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Dumitru Vrabie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Cozac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliodor Berechet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Valeriu Răchită tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Dumitru Vrabie could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Octav Cozac however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of CVUCS POLI booed when Miorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Onete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dumitru Vrabie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Octav Cozac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octav Cozac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Frânculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miorica's Octav Cozac proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Miorica from getting a goal against them. Valeriu Răchită came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Miorica's Alex Şerb. But to his dismay, Alex Şerb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 83rd minute Costică Frânculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Cozac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dumitru Vrabie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Octav Cozac when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dumitru Vrabie in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Octav Cozac, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Octav Cozac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dumitru Vrabie in the 86th minute. Radu Neghină struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Valeriu Răchită didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miorica. 96 minutes into the game, Dumitru Vrabie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Octav Cozac. Dumitru Vrabie showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Despite being the better team, CVUCS POLI failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
