Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dumitru Vrabie started the match with the kick off. When Albert Romulus came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Peterlaka CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Romulus couldn't finish the play. Dumitru Vrabie hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Petruț Bulgar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Costică Frânculescu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the CVUCS POLI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costică Frânculescu couldn't finish the play. CVUCS POLI's Dumitru Vrabie was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of CVUCS POLI booed when Peterlaka CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Plopșor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dumitru Vrabies short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Romeo Roșeanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dumitru Vrabie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Romeo Roșeanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Nechifor Curteanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeo Roșeanu. That made the score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. A collision led to Peterlaka CS getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ionel Siteavu hit a great ball. Petruț Bulgar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

After a rather tough play, CVUCS POLI's Manuel Cupșa got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Marian Săndoi charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marian Săndoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marian Săndoi hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Romeo Roșeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panait Filip's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Vrabie in the 62nd minute of play forced Peterlaka CS's goalkeeper Romeo Roșeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valeriu Răchită showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Plopșor, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When Laurențiu Stere fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peterlaka CS's protests and gave Laurențiu Stere a yellow card for diving instead. Laurențiu Stere hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Romeo Roșeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Vrabie, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 83 played minutes CVUCS POLI got a freekick which was hit by Petruț Bulgar. Peterlaka CS's Albert Romulus got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Panait Filip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Romulus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Valeriu Răchită made a huge save. After having played for 96 minutes, Panait Filip managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CVUCS POLI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Filip was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CVUCS POLI's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
