Juventus Fălciu's Panait Nedelcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Brumaru in the 16th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigel Zberea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Panait Nedelcea. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Mihai Ungureanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Iulian Costescu fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventus Fălciu's protests and gave Iulian Costescu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Juventus Fălciu getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Iulian Costescu hit a great ball. FC AAS Bucuresti's Gigel Zberea got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Juventus Fălciu's Panait Nedelcea got control of the ball when Gigel Zberea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panait Nedelcea made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Marcu Brumaru sent off a good shot on target. 43 minutes into the game, Juventus Fălciu's George Maior nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sorin Coman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcu Brumaru to make the kick off. Mihai Ungureanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Coman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihai Ungureanu in the 63rd minute of play forced FC AAS Bucuresti's goalkeeper Sorin Coman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Zberea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panait Nedelcea having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Juventus Fălciu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC AAS Bucuresti a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victor Ghițescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Juventus Fălciu's Panait Nedelcea. 2-1. In the 82nd minute, George Maior left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Juventus Fălciu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Gigel Zberea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Panait Nedelcea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcu Brumaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panait Nedelcea having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Mihai Ungureanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sorin Coman. The goal made the score 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Juventus Fălciu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
