The referee ignored Aversa Colentina's protests and gave Ştefan Tache a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Agud in the 8th minute of play forced Aversa Colentina's goalkeeper Tiberiu Musceleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiberiu Musceleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Murgescu in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Ilasi CSS booed when Aversa Colentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Brădescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Radu Boldișor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aversa Colentina's Horia Bostan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dorel Cubleșan but with some difficulty. Sebastian Brădescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radu Boldișor struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Dorel Cubleșan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aversa Colentina. Bogdan Mihăilescu scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiberiu Musceleanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Aversa Colentina booed when Ilasi CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Isopescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Sebastian Brădescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aversa Colentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Brădescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorel Cubleșan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ilasi CSS's attentive Marcel Marinescu managed to snatch the ball when Iustinian Hănescu made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. 57 minutes into the match, Aversa Colentina's Radu Boldișor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorel Cubleșan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute Sebastian Brădescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Cubleșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Radu Boldișor came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Aversa Colentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Boldișor couldn't finish the play. Tiberiu Musceleanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Agud in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Aversa Colentina booed when Ilasi CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Zburliş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radu Boldișor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Cubleșan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Aversa Colentina's zone, Daniel Agud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Musceleanu came out of the goal and Daniel Agud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Agud in the 83rd minute of play forced Aversa Colentina's goalkeeper Tiberiu Musceleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Brădescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Cubleșan having to interfere. The Ilasi CSS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ilasi CSS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
