Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Șerban Voica took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Eric Stelea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Daniel Bala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tudor Pintilescu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes, Laza's Sergiu Madgearu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cazimir Şneapotă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laza reached it. Iulian Vârjean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cazimir Şneapotă having to interfere. Cazimir Şneapotă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Voica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Stelea might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinu Murgan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Stelea ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute, Daniel Posteucă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dinu Murgan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cazimir Şneapotă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Șerban Voica in the 23rd minute of the match. With splendid footwork Iulian Vârjean arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-1 by the left pole in the game's 31st minute. If Șerban Voica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mihnea Herea fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MARUSSI TEAM's protests and gave Mihnea Herea a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Laza booed when MARUSSI TEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihnea Herea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes MARUSSI TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Bântu. After 42 played minutes Laza got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Pintilescu. After 47 played minutes, MARUSSI TEAM's Damian Hurmuzescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dinu Murgan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MARUSSI TEAM reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Posteucă was the one to do the kick off. Șerban Voica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Stelea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Zbârnea's late challenge caught a Laza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Zbârnea helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes MARUSSI TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Zbârnea. Cazimir Şneapotă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Vârjean, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Daniel Bala hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Daniel Posteucă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Dinu Murgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Stelea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Dinu Murgan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. MARUSSI TEAM's Cazimir Şneapotă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Bala in the 79th minute of play. If Iulian Vârjean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
