Bibanu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argeș FCV the free kick. After 14 played minutes Bibanu got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Zubaşcu. Bibanu's Petre Macaneață got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Bibanu getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bogdan Vlădoiu hit a great ball. Cazimir Cosariu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 31 played minutes, Bibanu's Dacian Antoniu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Albert Oprița came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bibanu reached it. Mihai Epure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nichifor Albescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florin Comarnescu in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mihai Epure, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Florin Comarnescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mihai Epure could save by the left post. When Dacian Antoniu fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bibanu's protests and gave Dacian Antoniu a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valeriu Hurezan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Florin Comarnescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nichifor Albescu in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihai Epure prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Nichifor Albescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihai Epure was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Albert Oprița showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Hurezan in the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bibanu's Corneliu Goșa got a free kick in the 65th minute. Iurie Zubaşcu kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Nichifor Albescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rdth minute of the game Florin Comarnescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bibanu's Mihai Epure was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 75 minutes, Valeriu Hurezan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bibanu and the Argeș FCV players grew even worse after the yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, one of Argeș FCV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 85 minutes into the match, Bibanu's goal looked a bit too open when Cazimir Cosariu came free, but Mihai Epure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florin Comarnescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihai Epure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Comarnescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Argeș FCV's Ernest Burdujan got a free kick in the 94th minute.
