Laza's supporters rose to their feet, but Iulian Vârjean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Hăulică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. George Hăulică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Șerban Voica in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arsache's Aurelian Tudose got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Iulian Vârjean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doru Filimon to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iulian Vârjean got free with George Hăulică in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Arsache's goalkeeper George Hăulică had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iulian Vârjean. George Hăulică made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Iulian Vârjean sent off a good shot on target. Arsache's Aurelian Tudose got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Arsache's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iulian Vârjean fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Iulian Vârjean in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of George Hăulică, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. George Hăulică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Voica in the 69th minute of play.
