Narcis Ichimescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Cumpanașu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Iordache Păunescu sped through FC MARIO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Viorel Pașcalău. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Narcis Ichimescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Gâdea in the 56th minute of play. During the 56th minute of the match Iacob Mihălțan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Iacob Mihălțan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of FC MARIO booed when Bisericani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Mihălțan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iacob Drăghincescu scored 4-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viorel Pașcalău, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Viorel Pașcalău didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorel Ghiorman went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Bisericani's attack was well implemented in the 76th minute, but when Dorel Ghiorman was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The supporters of FC MARIO booed when Bisericani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcu Encea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narcis Ichimescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Gâdea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC MARIO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bisericani fully deserved thier win.
