The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Codruț Gherghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Popescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Popescu in the 8th minute of play forced FCSA's goalkeeper Codruț Gherghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristinel Vasilache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Moise Sichitiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. The wind increased when Gabriel Coman made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FCSA's Codruț Gherghe got control of the ball when Aurelian Ponor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Szatmar's Ştefan Goiceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Panciu in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Szatmar's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Hapaina came free, but Ştefan Goiceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Ştefan Hapaina sped through Szatmar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ştefan Goiceanu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ştefan Hapaina in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ştefan Goiceanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FCSA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Gabriel Coman scored to the left of an out of position Codruț Gherghe, making the score, 2-2. Ştefan Goiceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Sichitiu in the 68th minute of play. Aurelian Ponor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Codruț Gherghe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Codruț Gherghe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelian Ponor in the 75th minute. Ştefan Goiceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Sichitiu in the 87th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, FCSA's goalkeeper Codruț Gherghe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Amărculesei.
