Spectators: 7414 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albert Colceriu started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, FCSA's Iacob Panciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgil Iosifian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Moise Sichitiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Virgil Iosifian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes FC Red Wolf got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Pociu. Codruț Gherghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Colceriu in the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Red Wolf booed when FCSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Hapaina didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FCSA's Codruț Gherghe got control of the ball when Matei Balc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgil Iosifian came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by FCSA's Iacob Panciu. But to his dismay, Iacob Panciu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Virgil Iosifian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Pivniceru in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Red Wolf's Cosmin Stănciulaş got a free kick in the 19th minute. Iacob Panciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Iosifian having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, FC Red Wolf's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Pivniceru came free, but Virgil Iosifian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FCSA's Codruț Gherghe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FCSA from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Matei Balc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Codruț Gherghe. FCSA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matei Balc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 33rd minute Albert Colceriu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Gherghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, FCSA's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Domnescu came free, but Codruț Gherghe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codruț Gherghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Colceriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Doru Sântimbrean came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FCSA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Sântimbrean couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Domnescu in the 43rd minute of play forced FCSA's goalkeeper Codruț Gherghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Balc kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 44thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FCSA's keeper Codruț Gherghe was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. FCSA's Codruț Gherghe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save FCSA from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Colceriu in the 47th minute of play forced FCSA's goalkeeper Codruț Gherghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iacob Panciu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the FC Red Wolf defense, Iacob Panciu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgil Iosifian. The FC Red Wolf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgil Iosifian should have stopped the shot. FCSA's Codruț Gherghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Balc in the 57th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, FC Red Wolf's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Pivniceru came free, but Virgil Iosifian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FCSA's Codruț Gherghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Colceriu in the 70th minute of play. Codruț Gherghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Colceriu in the 78th minute of play. Moise Sichitiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Iosifian having to interfere. Claudiu Vaida hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Codruț Gherghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Colceriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over FCSA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Red Wolf throughout the match.
