JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK MERCEDES the free kick. In the 10th match minute, JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Maftei to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, FK MERCEDES's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Bântu came free, but Ionel Rădoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristinel Șerbulescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marian Pacuraru came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristinel Șerbulescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 15th minute. After 18 played minutes FK MERCEDES got a freekick which was hit by Iustinian Oprea. When Nae Hulubei came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nae Hulubei couldn't finish the play. After 23 played minutes JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Udup. Iurie Udup kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Marian Pacuraru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Șerbulescu in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Mihail Maftei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia's Marian Pacuraru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Șerbulescu in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Cristinel Șerbulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Pacuraru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristinel Șerbulescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marian Pacuraru having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, FK MERCEDES's goal looked a bit too open when David Sinulescu came free, but Ionel Rădoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Albert Găină hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristinel Șerbulescu to make the kick off. Cristinel Șerbulescu took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marian Pacuraru. Marian Pacuraru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Marian Pacuraru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Șerbulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Găman came free, but Marian Pacuraru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Sinulescu in the 67th minute of play forced FK MERCEDES's goalkeeper Ionel Rădoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugurel Găman in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Pacuraru saved JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia from getting behind. In the 73rd match minute, JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iurie Udup to maneuver through the defense. Marian Pacuraru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Toader in the 74th minute of play. Mugurel Găman hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Robert Astafiei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionel Rădoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Sinulescu in the 88th minute of the match. Nae Hulubei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ionel Rădoi. FK MERCEDES's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FK MERCEDES fans cheered their team off the field, for while JuVeNtuS AleXaNdRia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
