In the 20th minute Mihăiţă Mîțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Leucuța saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Chevereșan charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantin Chevereșan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Deparati AC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. After 34 played minutes, Axi Barbershop's Nichifor Latarețu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silviu Leucuța came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Axi Barbershop reached it. Horia Vidican received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gabriel Pâslaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Mihăiţă Mîțu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Felix Fărcășan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deparati AC's Silviu Leucuța was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horia Vidican was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihăiţă Mîțu got free with Silviu Leucuța in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
