Bogdan Goșa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, FC Folklorika's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Goșa came free, but Octavian Berceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Goșa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Berceanu having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Eliodor Oniga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Tiberiu Vulcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Folklorika's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiberiu Vulcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horaţiu Mavrogheni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tiberiu Vulcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Mihai Irimescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapid CFR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Folklorika the free kick. Mihai Irimescu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Folklorika's Valer Cosoreanu tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Eliodor Oniga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Eliodor Oniga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horaţiu Mavrogheni was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Goșa in the 41st minute of play forced FC Folklorika's goalkeeper Octavian Berceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Mavrogheni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Vulcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Tiberiu Vulcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horaţiu Mavrogheni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Oniga in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rapid CFR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valer Cosoreanu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Folklorika's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Folklorika's corner Valer Cosoreanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Horaţiu Mavrogheni quite easily take care of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiberiu Vulcan was the one to do the kick off. Tiberiu Vulcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marius Burtea fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapid CFR's protests and gave Marius Burtea a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Folklorika booed when Rapid CFR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Burtea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Răzvan Onitiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Berceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Bogdan Goșa made a precise shot to the right of Octavian Berceanu. FC Folklorika's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 70th minute Bogdan Goșa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Berceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Folklorika defense, Bogdan Goșa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavian Berceanu. The FC Folklorika fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavian Berceanu should have stopped the shot. If Bogdan Goșa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Răzvan Onitiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Octavian Berceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Goșa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Răzvan Onitiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Dugulescu during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
