The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rapid CFR's Horaţiu Mavrogheni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciprian Goiciu in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Ciprian Goiciu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horaţiu Mavrogheni was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ciprian Goiciu struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Horaţiu Mavrogheni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSU LOVE. Răzvan Onitiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horaţiu Mavrogheni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciprian Goiciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Adam Surdilă sped through Rapid CFR's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Horaţiu Mavrogheni. After some careless play in the CSU LOVE defense, Denis Dugulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costică Mârza. The CSU LOVE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costică Mârza should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Costin Macavei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapid CFR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSU LOVE the free kick. Costin Macavei hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Adam Surdilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSU LOVE's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Surdilă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horaţiu Mavrogheni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horaţiu Mavrogheni came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by CSU LOVE's Ciprian Goiciu. But to his dismay, Ciprian Goiciu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Adam Surdilă made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, CSU LOVE's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Onitiu came free, but Costică Mârza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Răzvan Onitiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Mârza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costică Mârza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Onitiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Răzvan Onitiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horaţiu Mavrogheni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Surdilă in the 87th minute of play. Rapid CFR's Bogdan Goșa got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 92 minutes, Răzvan Onitiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid CFR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Onitiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Rapid CFR's Denis Dugulescu got a free kick in the 94th minute. CSU LOVE's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
