Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Steluta Darmanesti's Claudiu Blăniță started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aurelian Tâbârnă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Apostol's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Emil Jitaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 10 minutes, Damian Apostol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Apostol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leontin Aursulesei kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Aurelian Tâbârnă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Apostol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelian Tâbârnă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Apostol in the 21st minute of play. Buta's Iurie Magheran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Blăniță in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes of play, Buta's Damian Apostol made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelian Tâbârnă was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aurelian Tâbârnă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Apostol in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Steluta Darmanesti's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Apostol came free, but Aurelian Tâbârnă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Jitaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Aurelian Tâbârnă made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Emil Jitaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Apostol made a kick off. Damian Apostol took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelian Tâbârnă. Aurelian Tâbârnă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Emil Jitaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Tâbârnă having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Apostol couldn't finish the play. Damian Apostol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Tâbârnă having to interfere. When Buta's Damian Apostol in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steluta Darmanesti's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Steluta Darmanesti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
