Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Steaua Bihorului's Petru Curuțiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 34thth minute of the game Petru Curuțiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pihna's Costică Stafie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Albert Irimia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Avram Birișu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Pihna's Costică Stafie got control of the ball when Albert Irimia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Many of Steaua Bihorului's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Steaua Bihorului may have spent more time on the ball, but Pihna were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
