United Slobozia's Mihnea Oroian got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Mihnea Oroian could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Nicodim Târban however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Marian Hrebenciuc took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nicodim Târban to make any attempt to save it. In the 10th minute, Costică Tudorică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Irimia might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Lițu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albert Irimia ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 18 minutes, Petru Curuțiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua Bihorului's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petru Curuțiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. United Slobozia's Adam Lițu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Aalexoaiei in the 22nd minute of play. Adam Lițu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albert Irimia went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Mihnea Oroian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albert Irimia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Adam Lițu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Lițu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Irimia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 43 minutes, Petru Curuțiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua Bihorului's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petru Curuțiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marian Hrebenciuc to strike the kick off in the second half. If Albert Irimia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 played minutes United Slobozia got a freekick which was hit by Petruț Caragea. Petru Curuțiu in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adam Lițu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 58 minutes in the game, Albert Irimia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adam Lițu having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Mihnea Oroian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the United Slobozia and the Steaua Bihorului players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to United Slobozia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Mihnea Oroian hit a great ball. Albert Irimia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Adam Lițu made a huge save. Nicodim Târban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Hrebenciuc in the 64th minute of the match. When Steaua Bihorului's Petru Curuțiu in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye United Slobozia's goalie prevented a goal. If Costel Aalexoaiei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. Petru Curuțiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Lițu having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Steaua Bihorului's Albert Irimia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Lițu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. United Slobozia's Adam Lițu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Chivulescu in the 76th minute of play. Nicodim Târban stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Hrebenciuc's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If Petru Curuțiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albert Irimia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Adam Lițu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Nistor Gheorghiță in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Steaua Bihorului's Andrei Arșanu. Steaua Bihorului's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
