Cristinel Coșeriu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Daimacă having to interfere. A collision led to metalul getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mihail Iulian hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Blăniță in the 27th minute of play forced metalul's goalkeeper Ciprian Daimacă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, metalul's Matei Mihăilă broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 36th minute, Steluta Darmanesti's Claudiu Blăniță dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. metalul's Ciprian Daimacă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Blăniță in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute Augustin Armanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Tâbârnă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes, Leontin Aursulesei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steluta Darmanesti and the metalul players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leontin Aursulesei kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Lipan to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, David Jitaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the metalul and the Steluta Darmanesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Claudiu Blăniță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augustin Armanca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Aurelian Tâbârnă made a huge save. Ciprian Daimacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Coșeriu in the 63rd minute of the match. Cristinel Coșeriu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ciprian Daimacă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Augustin Armanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Claudiu Blăniță came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Steluta Darmanesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Blăniță couldn't finish the play. Gigel Roman's late challenge caught a Steluta Darmanesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gigel Roman helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Lipan in the 81st minute of play forced Steluta Darmanesti's goalkeeper Aurelian Tâbârnă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciprian Daimacă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Blăniță in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Steluta Darmanesti's zone, Augustin Armanca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelian Tâbârnă came out of the goal and Augustin Armanca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Emil Lipan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. metalul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Lipan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. metalul's Augustin Armanca got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emil Lipan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. metalul's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
