After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Cristinel Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steluta Darmanesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristinel Coșeriu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costică Stafie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Cristinel Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steluta Darmanesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristinel Coșeriu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costică Stafie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costică Stafie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Coșeriu in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Blăniță in the 29th minute of play forced Pihna's goalkeeper Costică Stafie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Aurelian Tâbârnă managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Pihna's Ernest Mudura fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Avram Birișu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costică Stafie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Blăniță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Pihna's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Blăniță came free, but Costică Stafie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Claudiu Blăniță dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Costică Stafie, 0-1. Aurelian Tâbârnă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Birișu in the 63rd minute of the match. Avram Birișu charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
