Damian Vârjean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Marcel Stănciulaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Callatis Mangalia FC's Marcel Stănciulaş got control of the ball when Gabriel Acalinei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mugur Petriceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Pintilescu in the 34th minute of the match. Damian Vârjean was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 39 played minutes Ramon CF Arad got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Pantea. If Damian Vârjean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantin Petriceanu to make the kick off. The Ramon CF Arad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mugur Petriceanu should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Ramon CF Arad's Manuel Manciulescu got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Ernest Pintilescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Constantin Petriceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Callatis Mangalia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantin Petriceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mugur Petriceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
