Ferdinand Armanca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 10th minute Sabin Chioreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gică Pană saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sabin Chioreanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gică Pană was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabin Chioreanu in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gică Pană saved REGIONAL FC from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Manuel Ghionea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gică Pană was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gică Pană showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Chioreanu in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Răuţă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REGIONAL FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jugani the free kick. The supporters of Jugani booed when REGIONAL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Răuţă didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Gică Pană managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Jugani's Sabin Chioreanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gică Pană acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Petrică Dabija. In the 58th minute, Tiberiu Codrescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, REGIONAL FC's Sergiu Pavelescu got a free kick in the 59th minute.
