The referee ignored Bolintin United's protests and gave Marcel Ortacu a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Bolintin United got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Ortacu. In the 5th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Marcel Stolniciu hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Eliodor Achifoaiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Viorel Zbârciog got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Lițu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Viorel Zbârciog recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Virgil Caragea. Viorel Zbârciog showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Eliodor Moșanu fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolintin United's protests and gave Eliodor Moșanu a yellow card for diving instead. Marcel Stolniciu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dinu Gligor. Bolintin United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Bolintin United's goal looked a bit too open when David Lițu came free, but Dinu Gligor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Martin Culiță managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolintin United's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Culiță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Caragea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Martin Culiță came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Bolintin United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Culiță couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Culiță to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcel Spiridon hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Adam Dulca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Caragea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinu Gligor was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gică Ghioane. After a rather tough play, Bolintin United's Robert Calboreanu got a free kick in the 61st minute. The supporters of Vajla booed when Bolintin United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Dulca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinu Gligor was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcel Stolniciu. After a rather tough play, Vajla's Dorel Boboc got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Viorel Zbârciog came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Bolintin United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Zbârciog couldn't finish the play. After 70 minutes, Viorel Zbârciog made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Vajla's Virgil Caragea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Viorel Zbârciog sped through Vajla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Virgil Caragea. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alin Tudose during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 80 minutes into the game, one of Bolintin United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 84 minutes into the match, Bolintin United's goal looked a bit too open when David Lițu came free, but Dinu Gligor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If David Lițu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcel Spiridon during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bolintin United booed when Vajla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Spiridon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vajla's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
