With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihail Antipa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mihail Antipa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Culiță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Martin Culiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Zbârciog in the 31st minute of play forced Noua Generație's goalkeeper Mihail Antipa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Culiță struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Mihail Antipa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolintin United. Adrian Zotincă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Gligor having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Bolintin United got a freekick which was hit by Robert Calboreanu. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Culiță to strike the kick off in the second half. Viorel Zbârciog charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Noua Generație booed when Bolintin United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Dulca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihail Antipa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Culiță showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 80 minute of play.
