Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Horia Domide made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, AFC Catenaccio's goalkeeper Ivan Arghirescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doru Vornicescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Ibrișin in the 5th minute of play forced AFC Catenaccio's goalkeeper Ivan Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Arghirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Domide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Doru Vornicescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Horia Domide recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivan Arghirescu. Horia Domide showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doru Vornicescu got free with Ivan Arghirescu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, AFC Catenaccio's Ivan Arghirescu got control of the ball when Doru Vornicescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelian Roşca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 18 minutes, Mihail Ibrișin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viitorul Constanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihail Ibrișin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute of the match, Doru Vornicescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ivan Arghirescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, AFC Catenaccio's Ivan Arghirescu got control of the ball when Doru Vornicescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nistor Geangu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petru Baican having to make a save. After 38 played minutes Viitorul Constanta got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Țepelea. After a rather tough play, AFC Catenaccio's Romeo Buzea got a free kick in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Buzea during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AFC Catenaccio getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Romeo Buzea hit a great ball. Horia Domide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Arghirescu having to make a save. Ivan Arghirescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doru Vornicescu in the 44th minute. AFC Catenaccio's Ivan Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Ibrișin in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AFC Catenaccio's Alex Saşca got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horea Geambașu was the one to do the kick off. Emanuel Daimacă kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Ivan Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Domide in the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of Viitorul Constanta booed when AFC Catenaccio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Daimacă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Romeo Buzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Viitorul Constanta's Romeo Panescu tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Aurelian Roşca charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelian Roşca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 71 minutes into the match, AFC Catenaccio's goal looked a bit too open when Doru Vornicescu came free, but Ivan Arghirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horea Geambașu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petru Baican having to interfere. Ivan Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Vornicescu in the 80th minute of play. Doru Vornicescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AFC Catenaccio's Ivan Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Domide in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the AFC Catenaccio defense, Doru Vornicescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Arghirescu. The AFC Catenaccio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Arghirescu should have stopped the shot.
