Ovidiu Bîlbă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Cristinel Lozovan made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Bageni FC's Sabin Valerian ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristinel Lozovan. Cristinel Lozovan made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ovidiu Bîlbă sent off a good shot on target. Ovidiu Bîlbă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Lozovan having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Codrin Şneapotă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gigel Marin in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andrei Mihălțan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 66th minute, Gigel Marin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, FC Baia Mare's Codrin Şneapotă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrei Mihălțan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bageni FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Baia Mare had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
