Călin Ciurea hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Leontin Chitoran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Gherghe skillfully saved the ball. Leontin Chitoran's late challenge caught a Blue Jays V55's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Ivan Gabor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tudor Ungur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Gherghe having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Jays V55's zone, Basarab Crâșmaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Gherghe came out of the goal and Basarab Crâșmaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Blue Jays V55's Ivan Gabor got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tudor Ungur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Florin Petrin fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Jays V55's protests and gave Florin Petrin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Florin Petrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, DD13's Basarab Crâșmaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albert Gherghe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivan Gabor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cristinel Poenaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Gabor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Cristinel Poenaru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 86 minutes, Ivan Gabor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Jays V55's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Gabor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Niculae Cupșa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DD13's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blue Jays V55 the free kick. In the 88th match minute, DD13 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Cupșa to maneuver through the defense. Cristinel Poenaru was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Codruț Fetanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Codruț Fetanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The Blue Jays V55 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Blue Jays V55 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
