Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Codrin Şneapotă took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Codrin Şneapotă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Aronescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigel Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Verzeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cristinel Lozovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristinel Lozovan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Romoşan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigel Marin might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stelian Aronescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alin Romoşan in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Lozovan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Doru Hagi fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Baia Mare's protests and gave Doru Hagi a yellow card for diving instead. Doru Hagi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Verzeanu could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Cristinel Lozovan however easily saved by the left post. Cristian Verzeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Verzeanu had several of the FC Baia Mare's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Cristinel Lozovan as he didn't even see the shot coming. Octav Mateianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Verzeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 90th match minute, Romanian Patriots was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Păltineanu to maneuver through the defense. A long shot from Augustin Popic in the 93rd minute of play was well struck, but Stelian Aronescu made a really good save at the right post. Codrin Şneapotă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Stelian Aronescu made a huge save. Gigel Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Romanian Patriots players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
