Daniel Gănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Frățilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Lucian Verzeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alin Ştercă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cătălin Frățilă struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Daniel Gănescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaz Gaz Gaz. 13 minutes into the match, Argisu AS's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Frățilă came free, but Daniel Gănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Argisu AS's Daniel Gănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Frățilă in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Cosmin Şteflea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaz Gaz Gaz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argisu AS the free kick. Cosmin Şteflea hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Argisu AS's Eugen Vochin got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Verzeanu in the 32nd minute of play forced Gaz Gaz Gaz's goalkeeper Alin Ştercă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Eugen Vochin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argisu AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugen Vochin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alin Ştercă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Argisu AS's Daniel Gănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Frățilă in the 41st minute of play. In the 48th minute Lucian Verzeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alin Ştercă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Gaz Gaz Gaz's Florin Lopatnicu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Gănescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucian Verzeanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alin Ştercă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucian Verzeanu ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Gaz Gaz Gaz getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Radu Negara hit a great ball. Edgar Geamănu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alin Ştercă. Gaz Gaz Gaz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 63rd minute Lucian Verzeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alin Ştercă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Argisu AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Pavelescu to maneuver through the defense. Lucian Verzeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gaz Gaz Gaz's zone, Ivan Pușcariu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alin Ştercă came out of the goal and Ivan Pușcariu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Gănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cătălin Frățilă in the 91st minute of the match. Daniel Gănescu came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Gaz Gaz Gaz's Florin Lopatnicu. But to his dismay, Florin Lopatnicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gaz Gaz Gaz were victorious despite being under pressure from Argisu AS for much of the match.
