With a little luck, ASU Politehnica Timișoara's Anacleto Abella got control of the ball when Octav Baicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduard Babarada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Enciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Lucas Gråberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASU Politehnica Timișoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 30 played minutes FC ICE got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Macovescu. Eliodor Macovescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Anacleto Abella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucas Gråberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The wind increased when Eliodor Macovescu made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, ASU Politehnica Timișoara's Lucas Gråberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduard Babarada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. With an all-out effort, ASU Politehnica Timișoara's Eduard Babarada threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcel Enciu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC ICE's Eduard Babarada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Enciu in the 74th minute of play. After 74 played minutes FC ICE got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Nedelcu. In the 76th minute, Traian Plop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anacleto Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Baicu in the 78th minute of play. Lucas Gråberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduard Babarada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. A hard shot 81 in the game by Lucas Gråberg from a close distance when the talented Eduard Babarada managed to make a qualified save. FC ICE's players were relieved. When George Stere fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASU Politehnica Timișoara's protests and gave George Stere a yellow card for diving instead.
