The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to fc.mishu getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Manuel Staicu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Tarculesti's Aron Băieșu got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Narcis Jder sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tarculesti's Gigi Voicu didn't even have to move. fc.mishu's Iordache Brădean got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of fc.mishu booed when Tarculesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Baniu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liviu Oancea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 22 minutes, Iordache Brădean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc.mishu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iordache Brădean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Liviu Oancea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Gigi Voicu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 29th minute Iordache Brădean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Voicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, one of fc.mishu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for fc.mishu. Liviu Oancea in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gigi Voicu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gigi Voicu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Brădean's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Gigi Voicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Remus, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Liviu Oancea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc.mishu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liviu Oancea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iordache Brădean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gigi Voicu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Brădean's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iordache Brădean stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iordache Brădean got in the 51st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gigi Voicu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. fc.mishu's Iordache Brădean got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laurențiu Olteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gabriel Trifu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Oancea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Voicu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, fc.mishu's Manuel Staicu got a free kick in the 71st minute. Petrică Ţirpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gigi Voicu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iordache Brădean went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Liviu Oancea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Voicu having to interfere. Tarculesti's Gigi Voicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Oancea in the 93rd minute of play. fc.mishu were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
