Spectators: 7209 (Terracing: 5659, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) Stelian Bădiliță started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Nae Mendrea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Bădiliță in the 5th minute of play forced FCSB's goalkeeper Horia Beșleaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragoş Budulea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cezar Baniciu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Ilie Gafița made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Almăgean in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FCSB's Petrică Bilașco got a free kick in the 16th minute. Petruț Ciutacu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Horia Beșleaga. FCSB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FCSB's Romeo Almăgean got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horia Beșleaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nae Mendrea's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind FCSB's goalkeeper Horia Beșleaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dragoş Budulea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FCSB booed when Crusetu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezar Baniciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nae Mendrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Horia Beșleaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nae Mendrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horia Beșleaga came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Crusetu's Stelian Bădiliță. But to his dismay, Stelian Bădiliță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeo Almăgean made a kick off. Cristinel Fecioru hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Crusetu's Stelian Bădiliță got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nae Mendrea succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 56th playminute. Stelian Bădiliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Beșleaga having to interfere. In the 61st play minute Nae Mendrea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Horia Beșleaga. 0-3. Stelian Bădiliță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Horia Beșleaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horia Beșleaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nae Mendrea in the 66th minute. Niculae Mateescu charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niculae Mateescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Crusetu got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Mateescu. Alex Grămescu kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Nae Mendrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Beșleaga having to interfere. Crusetu's Ilie Gafița played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Budulea in the 91st minute of play. Stelian Bădiliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Beșleaga having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Crusetu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FCSB.
