Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tudor Iliescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniel Lupoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Susara having to interfere. Mihail Magheran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Bondrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tudor Iliescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sorin Plăcintă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Magheran having to interfere. Eduard Sitaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Old Boys's Damian Cârstea got a free kick in the 17th minute. Tudor Iliescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sorin Plăcintă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Magheran having to interfere. The Capiteni fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Capiteni's Sorin Plăcintă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Old Boys's Albert Elefterescu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Mihail Magheran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Iliescu in the 44th minute of play. If Eduard Sitaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Lupoi was the one to do the kick off. If Tudor Iliescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Capiteni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Hurdubețiu to maneuver through the defense. Capiteni's Sorin Plăcintă got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Old Boys's Mihail Magheran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Iliescu in the 67th minute of play. Felix Bondrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Adam Bălanescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gheorghe Susara quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mihail Magheran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Sitaru in the 80th minute of the match. Eduard Sitaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mihail Magheran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capiteni's Tudor Iliescu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tudor Iliescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capiteni's supporters rose to their feet, but Tudor Iliescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Magheran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Capiteni players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
