Ionuț Ignătescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes F.C. Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Marin Muraru. In the 11th minute, Ionuț Ignătescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Rocada mica's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Vlăsiu came free, but Liviu Murgescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, F.C. Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Ignătescu came free, but Sorin Smarandache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Rareș Popoiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Buzau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gabriel Vâlcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Liviu Murgescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihai Crețu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Aron Isvoreanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Liviu Murgescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rareș Popoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viorel Vlăsiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liviu Murgescu having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Marin Muraru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Buzau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rocada mica the free kick. After 52 played minutes F.C. Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Marin Muraru. Olimpiu Pătrășcanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sorin Smarandache having to make a save. Olimpiu Pătrășcanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sorin Smarandache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Pătrășcanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Liviu Murgescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ilie Levițchi. Rocada mica's Olimpiu Pătrășcanu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liviu Murgescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Popoiu in the 77th minute of the match. If Rareș Popoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Viorel Vlăsiu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the F.C. Buzau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Vlăsiu couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute Ionuț Ignătescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Smarandache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
