When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Mugurel Mihu sped through Bucovat CS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marian Boteanu. After 75 minutes, Niculae Dumitru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bucovat CS and the Pancota players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bucovat CS's Niculae Dumitru got a free kick in the 76th minute. A collision led to Pancota getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Mugurel Mihu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bucovat CS's zone, Filip Spineanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Boteanu came out of the goal and Filip Spineanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Bucovat CS's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Mihu came free, but Marian Boteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Boteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Pârlog, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Ştefan Pârlog scored 3-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Boteanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Șerban Geambașu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pancota's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
