A collision led to Dolul getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Iordache Chiriloaie hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, F.C Dudestii Noi's Horea Caba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Șerban Jienescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 33rd minute Horea Caba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Șerban Jienescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andrei Zbârnea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 played minutes Dolul got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Titulescu. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Gigi David had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marius Vlădoiu. F.C Dudestii Noi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gigi David was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Felix Antohi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marius Vlădoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi David in the 66th minute of the match. Gigi David blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marius Vlădoiu having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Gigi David got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Frențiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Vlădoiu having to interfere. After 80 played minutes F.C Dudestii Noi got a freekick which was hit by Felix Antohi. Gigi David sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordache Chiriloaie in the 87th minute of play forced F.C Dudestii Noi's goalkeeper Marius Vlădoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gigi David in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marius Vlădoiu saved F.C Dudestii Noi from getting behind. Șerban Jienescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Antohi, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
