Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cezar Urderean made the kick off and thus started the match. Petruț Zăgănescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eric Corlățean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petruț Zăgănescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Rareș Paraschiv blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Corlățean having to make a save. Petruț Zăgănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eric Corlățean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Răzvan Negru took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergiu Ignea. Sergiu Ignea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, Nisipul's Cezar Urderean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergiu Ignea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Răzvan Negru got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 31st play minute Răzvan Negru came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sergiu Ignea. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Urderean in the 42nd minute of play forced Unirea Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Sergiu Ignea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Răzvan Negru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergiu Ignea having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Nisipul's Cezar Urderean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergiu Ignea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sergiu Ignea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Urderean in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Cezar Urderean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 54 played minutes Unirea Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Dulca. Aron Bobailă took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sergiu Ignea. Unirea Alba Iulia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezar Urderean in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergiu Ignea saved Unirea Alba Iulia from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciprian Oncescu during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Unirea Alba Iulia's zone, Cezar Urderean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergiu Ignea came out of the goal and Cezar Urderean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unirea Alba Iulia's Sergiu Ignea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezar Urderean in the 62nd minute of play. Fabian Oroveanu struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Sergiu Ignea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nisipul. The supporters of Unirea Alba Iulia booed when Nisipul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Bulzan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petruț Zăgănescu in the 67th minute of play forced Nisipul's goalkeeper Eric Corlățean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Corlățean made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Rareș Paraschiv sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Nisipul's Ovidiu Bobei got a free kick in the 69th minute. Sergiu Ignea came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nisipul's Cezar Urderean. But to his dismay, Cezar Urderean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. A collision led to Unirea Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Emanuel Levițchi hit a great ball. Aron Bobailă was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Teodor Zgondea kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Răzvan Negru struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Sergiu Ignea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nisipul. In the 89th minute Fabian Oroveanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Ignea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Răzvan Negru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nisipul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Negru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
