Alin Axinia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Popan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Doicaru in the 41st minute of play forced MOTANILA's goalkeeper Eugen Popan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iordache Melinescu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Abus fans jumped to their feet. Laurențiu Doicaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Eugen Popan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Laurențiu Doicaru came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Abus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurențiu Doicaru couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the game, Alin Axinia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eugen Popan. Alin Axinia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. MOTANILA's Eugen Popan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Axinia in the 67th minute of play. Leontin Bunoaică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Drăgoescu in the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Alin Axinia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alin Axinia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luca Isăceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Leontin Bunoaică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind MOTANILA's goalkeeper Eugen Popan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Abus left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MOTANILA.
