Sever Oprea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iulian Goga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Leonard Staicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emil Dudău had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bloaja's Nae Cărtărescu got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st match minute, LPS I Balaș Soter Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Ivasiuc to maneuver through the defense. Horaţiu Ivasiuc hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Martin Trandafir shot from long distance in the 36th minute, but Leonard Staicu was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Iulian Goga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bloaja players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LPS I Balaș Soter Buzău were winning 0-1.

Sever Oprea struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Leonard Staicu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bloaja. 63 minutes into the match, LPS I Balaș Soter Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Oprea came free, but Leonard Staicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sever Oprea during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sever Oprea in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Staicu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horaţiu Ivasiuc hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Martin Trandafir, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aurelian Boacă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Dudău in the 93rd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched LPS I Balaș Soter Buzău eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
