After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Laurențiu Doicaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abus's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurențiu Doicaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Mihăilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Abus's Iordache Melinescu got a free kick in the 36th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denis Măguran made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Iordache Melinescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alin Axinia in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Mihăilă saved Penes from getting behind. Ernest Mihăilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alin Axinia, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ernest Mihăilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Doicaru in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Doicaru in the 65th minute of play forced Penes's goalkeeper Ernest Mihăilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Abus players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
