Spectators: 7563 (Terracing: 5673, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iulian Goga took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, David Robescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Tudor Petcu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Augustin Săndoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iulian Goga succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Aurelian Boacă was a little too slow when Augustin Săndoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-1. Tudor Petcu came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Bloaja's Iulian Goga. But to his dismay, Iulian Goga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Aurelian Boacă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viorel Chitimia in the 46th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viorel Chitimia got free with Aurelian Boacă in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augustin Săndoi was the one to do the kick off. David Robescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Tudor Petcu made a huge save. Eliodor Gușatu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Tudor Petcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Goga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Tudor Petcu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Filip Tarchilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Goga in the 69th minute of play forced FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Tudor Petcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viorel Chitimia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Filip Tarchilă fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bloaja's protests and gave Filip Tarchilă a yellow card for diving instead. Filip Tarchilă hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Aurelian Boacă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Săndoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 84 played minutes Bloaja got a freekick which was hit by Filip Tarchilă. 87 minutes into the match, Bloaja's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Săndoi came free, but Aurelian Boacă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, David Robescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bloaja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA the free kick. David Robescu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Viorel Chitimia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iulian Goga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ionuț Băncilă hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
