After a defensive mix-up in Crocna FC's zone, Olimpiu Siclovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Zglobiu came out of the goal and Olimpiu Siclovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Dacian Cămărășescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florin Rareș succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. A collision led to Pungesti AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Cezar Minulescu hit a great ball. Florin Rareș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olimpiu Siclovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Zglobiu having to interfere. When Florin Rareș came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Pungesti AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florin Rareș couldn't finish the play. After 25 played minutes Pungesti AFC got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Siclovan. If Sorin Vătăşel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iosif Gârniceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Bogdan Hosu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes, Crocna FC's Șerban Apolzan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bogdan Hosu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Crocna FC reached it. Florin Rareș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Dan Zglobiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Crocna FC's goalkeeper Dan Zglobiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Abrudan. Marius Timofte charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marius Timofte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Pungesti AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Crocna FC:s goal. The referee gave Crocna FC a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nistor Cristian, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pungesti AFC's Bogdan Hosu. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florin Rareș to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st match minute, Crocna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Cristian to maneuver through the defense. When Pungesti AFC's Florin Rareș in 65 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Dan Zglobiu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Sorin Vătăşel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crocna FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Vătăşel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogdan Hosu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florin Rareș during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pungesti AFC's Florin Rareș got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Olimpiu Siclovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 86 played minutes Crocna FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Şendrea. After recieving a nice pass, Pungesti AFC's Marius Timofte tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Florin Rareș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Crocna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Rareș came free, but Dan Zglobiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Siclovan in the 92nd minute of play forced Crocna FC's goalkeeper Dan Zglobiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Siclovan might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Zglobiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olimpiu Siclovan ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Crocna FC's zone, Florin Rareș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Zglobiu came out of the goal and Florin Rareș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Zglobiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Siclovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Pungesti AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
