An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Basarabescu in the 14th minute of play forced Schwarz's goalkeeper Tiberiu Lozovan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinu Stelaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nicu Enachescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Schwarz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolae Iosub was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Cristi Măgherușan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiberiu Lozovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Măgherușan in the 39th minute of play. Dinu Stelaru charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinu Stelaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Nistor Dinu came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Vulturii Lipova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nistor Dinu couldn't finish the play. Nicolae Iosub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Lozovan having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Buciuman in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiberiu Lozovan saved Schwarz from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Florin Buciuman made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Vulturii Lipova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Măgherușan to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Buciuman in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiberiu Lozovan saved Schwarz from getting behind. Leonard Tulbure got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Răzvan Urdeş. Leontin Minda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Schwarz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tudor Zegreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
