Spectators: 7541 (Terracing: 5657, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iosif Gârniceanu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Horia Filipașcu came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Crocna FC's Sorin Vătăşel. But to his dismay, Sorin Vătăşel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Crocna FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Dacian Cămărășescu hit a great ball. Dan Zglobiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Teodorescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Crocna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Teodorescu came free, but Dan Zglobiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sorin Vătăşel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Horia Filipașcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Zglobiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Teodorescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Crocna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Cămărășescu to maneuver through the defense. Olimpiu Zbârnea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dan Zglobiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Crocna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Teodorescu came free, but Dan Zglobiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Jucan. The Republica Ploiești players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Crocna FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgil Teodorescu to make the kick off. Dan Zglobiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Zbârnea in the 54th minute of play. Virgil Teodorescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Zglobiu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Virgil Teodorescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Republica Ploiești's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgil Teodorescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Zglobiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpiu Zbârnea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Zglobiu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Teodorescu in the 64th minute of play forced Crocna FC's goalkeeper Dan Zglobiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Virgil Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Zglobiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olimpiu Zbârnea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Iosif Gârniceanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Horia Filipașcu. The goal made the score 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Crocna FC's zone, Virgil Teodorescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Zglobiu came out of the goal and Virgil Teodorescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Zglobiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Zbârnea in the 93rd minute of the match. Republica Ploiești's Virgil Teodorescu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute Virgil Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Zglobiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Crocna FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
