When Ionică Stroie fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crint's protests and gave Ionică Stroie a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SUPER OTELUL booed when Crint was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Stroie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Şantău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Crăcană having to interfere. Daniel Şantău might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cătălin Crăcană. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Şantău ran back to his position shaking his head. After 22 played minutes Crint got a freekick which was hit by Petre Ghizdeanu. Pompiliu Maior didn't quite understand what happened when in the 24 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. When Costică Voica came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the SUPER OTELUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costică Voica couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SUPER OTELUL getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gabriel Nistor hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Daniel Şantău managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crint's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Şantău was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cătălin Crăcană breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Florin Eniceicu put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cătălin Crăcană. After 47 minutes, Daniel Şantău made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. SUPER OTELUL's Cătălin Crăcană tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florin Eniceicu to strike the kick off in the second half. Cătălin Crăcană made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Şantău in the 57th minute. Valentin Savin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Soare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costică Voica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Şantău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ionică Stroie was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Crint's Ionică Stroie got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Daniel Şantău had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Balaban in the 83rd minute of play forced SUPER OTELUL's goalkeeper Cătălin Crăcană to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Costin Vasiliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cătălin Crăcană made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Şantău in the 94th minute. Crint's Daniel Şantău got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Crint supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Crint would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
