Spectators: 7507 (Terracing: 5631, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cătălin Bacalu kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cătălin Bacalu in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Nae prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute, Luca Luncașu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Bolborici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Florin Muncelean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florin Muncelean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petru Mihăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Robert Bolborici fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 28th minute Cătălin Bacalu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Nae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Cătălin Bacalu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gigel Nae was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marafet FC's Gigel Nae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Bacalu in the 35th minute of play. If Tudor Gaiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ştefan Cubleșan charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ştefan Cubleșan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute of the match Marafet FC got a corner. Poli Iasi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olimpiu Bărbuceanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Marafet FC's corner Olimpiu Bărbuceanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Florin Muncelean quite easily take care of the ball.

The wind increased when Petru Mihăilă made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Marafet FC booed when Poli Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Cubleșan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tudor Gaiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tudor Gaiță's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Gigel Nae skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Petru Mihăilă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Muncelean having to interfere. Felix Dăscălescu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Gigel Nae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Bacalu in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Poli Iasi's Cătălin Bacalu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigel Nae. Gigel Nae yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The Marafet FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Poli Iasi's performance. The match ended with a win for Poli Iasi.
