Rareș Jităreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Crăciunescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of Latinu CS booed when Hanzesti SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Zbanţ didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Zbanţ in the 29th minute of play forced Latinu CS's goalkeeper Martin Herescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Hanzesti SC's Aurel Dancu got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hanzesti SC's zone, Claudiu Crăciunescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rareș Jităreanu came out of the goal and Claudiu Crăciunescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Latinu CS's Claudiu Crăciunescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rareș Jităreanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Domuță got free with Martin Herescu in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Şendrea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aurel Dancu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Martin Herescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Latinu CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Toader to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudiu Crăciunescu in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rareș Jităreanu saved Hanzesti SC from getting behind. The supporters of Hanzesti SC booed when Latinu CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Toader didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Aurel Dancu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 1-2 became the score in the 77th minute when Constantin Domuță elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Constantin Domuță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Martin Herescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remus Morovan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 87th minute Andrei Zbanţ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Herescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Claudiu Crăciunescu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Latinu CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Crăciunescu couldn't finish the play.
