Martin Herescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Leucuța, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudiu Crăciunescu in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Nicolae saved FC Universitatea Craiova from getting behind. Claudiu Crăciunescu succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Latinu CS's Martin Herescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Nandriș in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Universitatea Craiova's zone, Claudiu Crăciunescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Nicolae came out of the goal and Claudiu Crăciunescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
